Sirui VA-5X Fluid Video Head with Quick Release Plate
Glassing big country means sitting behind a spotter for hours, and a sticky head makes every pan a fight. The Sirui VA-5X fluid head is the one we put on tripods at Ross Outdoors because it moves smooth, locks solid, and carries big glass like a Swarovski BTX without sagging when you let go.
The fluid cartridge gives a slow, even pan across a basin, so you can pick apart shade lines without jumping past an animal. The side loading quick release plate clicks in with one hand, and a safety pin keeps your optic from sliding off the head when you are moving between glassing knobs.
It is all aluminum, weighs about a pound, and pairs with nearly any hunting tripod. If you want to see it with a spotter or a pair of 15s on top, come try it in the shop.
